Note: to add or edit a new LeveragePoint user, a user must have an Administrator, Administrator * Templates, or User Admin Only role within LeveragePoint.
To add a new LeveragePoint, first go to the Administer Users page which can be found under the Administration link in the LeveragePoint header.
On the Administer Users page, select the "Create New" button.
This will open the User Details tab. Use this page to quickly create a new user.
First, enter the user's email address, first and last name.
To immediately send the Welcome email (including login information) to the new user, click the "Send Welcome Email" checkbox. You may also send it later on the edit user page. Note that a user will not know they have been given a LeveragePoint account without the Welcome email.
Next, select the new user's role from the "Role" drop-down list. The vast majority of users will either have a Marketing role (access to the Marketing User Home Page only), a Sales role (access to the Sales User Home Page only), or Marketing & Sales (ability to switch between Marketing and Sales home pages). The full list of roles and their access is below.
Role | Access |
Administrator | Marketing, Sales, Administration Functions, and Library Administration |
Administrator & Templates | Marketing, Sales, Administration Functions, Library Administration, and Templates |
Market Analysis | Market Analysis Tab on Marketing Home Page only |
Marketing | Marketing Home Page, all tabs |
Marketing & Sales | Marketing Home Page and Sales Home Page |
Marketing, Sales & Libraries | Marketing Home Page, Sales Home Page, and Library Administration |
Sales | Sales Home Page |
Templates | Marekting Home Page, Sales Home Page, and Templates |
Templates & Libraries | Marketing Home Page, Sales Home Page, Templates, and Library Administration |
User Admin Only | Administer Users and Administer Groups & Roles |
Note that roles only controls the functionality to which a user has access, not the content. For example, not all users with Value Modeling access have access to the same value models.
Last, select a group for the user to be added to. Groups control what content a user has access to and what their permission level is for that content. If no group is selected, the default group Power Users will be applied. Power Users have default View access to all newly created Value Models and Value Propositions.
To change the default group and permission level for your configuration, contact your LeveragePoint administrator.
