Note: The screen shot examples in this guide are from a LeveragePoint Demo configuration and do not show any proprietary information. Each company subscription has its own branded configuration that is secured according to industry SOC2 standards.
Below is the home page for a typical marketing user. Note that by default it opens on the “Value Models” tab. See below for description of “Value Propositions” tab.
This is where a marketing user can either: 1) Create a new value model (basic or multi-year*) or 2) Access an existing value model created by the user or shared by another user.
*Multi-Year value models is a configurable feature that is not available in some configurations.
The number of value models visible to a given user is determined by their access as defined by the company user administrator. Ten models are shown per page and additional pages are accessed by clicking the page numbers at the top and bottom right of the page.
The user has multiple options for selecting an existing value model. They can:
- Type a full or partial name in the search bar field and click Search button. Note the default search filter is “Active Value Models”. The user can also select “My Active Value Models” or “Archived Value Models”
- Check one of the filters in the left hand-column. These filters are custom for each Company configuration. Note: when you select more than one filter, it provides an “AND” search
- Collapse All/Expand All: Expands and contracts list of filters
- Clear: Clears all filter selections
- Sort the results by Relevance, Name, Offering, Competitor, Customer, Created date, or Last Modified date.
Upon finding the value model, the user can choose to open it in the Value Modeling, Price Setting or Value Communication modules.
The user can also perform one of the following Actions (click Actions button), depending on their level of permission:
- Rename (Owners only)
- Label (Owners only)
- Share (Owners only)
- Review (if available in the configuration)
- Copy
- Copy as Multi-Year (if available in the configuration)
- Export
- Archive (Owners only)
- Delete (Owners only)
- Preview as VP
Finally, the user has the option to download a .csv file with summary data on all or selected value models, by clicking the Download all results (csv) link.
The Value Proposition tab is used to access value propositions that were published by the marketing user and to access any unique value propositions (UVPs) saved by sales users. Note in the example below, the AirVentis Example value proposition shows six UVPs.
The user can search and select value propositions in the same way as value models (as described above). The user can also perform one of the following Actions on their published value proposition by clicking the Actions button:
- Publish Settings: Opens the Publish Setting Dialog for editing. See Publishing Value Propositions.
- UVP Report (XLS): Downloads a spreadsheet report that compares all data of a published value proposition versus all the associated UVPs. Differences are automatically highlighted.
- Export: Downloads summary of value proposition in either Excel or Powerpoint
- Archive
- Delete
The “Show UVPs (#)” and “Hide UVPs” link expands and collapses the list of UVPs for a particular value proposition. When expanded, the user has the option of opening the specific UVP by clicking the name. There is also a second Actions button with the ability to export the UVP summary to either Excel or PowerPoint.
The Market Analysis tab is where users can: 1) Create a new value map or 2) Access an existing value model created by the user or shared by another user.
The user can search and select value maps in the same way as value models or value propositions. Users can also perform the following actions on value maps, depending on their level of permission:
- Rename (Owners only)
- Label (Owners only)
- Share (Owners only)
- Copy
- Export (CSV)
- Export (PPT)
- Archive (Owners only)
- Delete (Owners only)
Some LeveragePoint users have multiple roles, i.e., Marketing, Sales, or Administrator access. Each role has a unique Home page. If a user has multiple roles they will go to a preferred home upon log-in to LeveragePoint and switch between them within a session. Note that a default home page is set by your company user administrator. For more on switching home pages, See How to Switch from Marketing to Sales User Home Page
