Within a Value Proposition, Value Driver slides are used to communicate the economic value related to one or more of the benefits that a prospective customer may realize because of one or more of your offering's differentiated features. Each Value Driver has 3 main components to aid in communication:
- Value Message: 1 to 2 sentences that compliment the value driver calculation by describing the economic impact in the customer’s language (see Value Driver Messages).
- Tagged Variables: variables used in the value driver calculation that aid in communication of the value driver's value (see Value Driver Tags).
- Quantified Economic Benefit: the value of the customer benefit, expressed in the customer unit. This value comes from the value driver calculation.
All of the changes above can be made in the Value Communication portion of the tool (see How to Open a Value Model).
Note below how the addition of the value message and tagged variable changes the value driver slide into a simple to understand presentation of value.
