Sales changes in a value proposition highlight changes that have been made to default values or settings. Sales changes are on by default, but they can be turned off when publishing a value proposition, or they can be toggled on and off from within a value proposition.
Note that compared to the default values for this Value Created slide, when the customer name, unit of measure, Projected average cost per kwg, and Equipment life (years) are changed, they are highlighted (see below).
The variable Current cost of energy with NTG for HVAC per year is a subformula. It is highlighted because one of its variables changed, thus changing its total value.
Toggling Sales Changes On/Off in a Value Proposition
From within a value proposition, Sales Changes can be shown or hidden while presenting by changing its setting from the More dropdown in the upper right hand corner. The option is first on the dropdown. Click on the option to toggle sales changes to either be visible or be hidden.
Note: Similar to changing variable values, changing the sales changes option in the More dropdown will not change the default setting when a value proposition is opened. That is, the next time the value proposition is opened, it will default to its original setting. The setting will persist though if saved as a UVP.
Changing Default Sales Changes Settings at Publish
Within the publish dialog, on the first tab, there is a radio button where you can set the default setting for whether sales changes are shown when a value proposition is opened.
The Publish Settings dialog can also be accessed after a value proposition has been published. Go to the Marketing Home Page -> Value Propositions tab -> Actions dropdown -> Publish Settings. From there, the default sales changes setting can be changed without having to republish.
